A2P CINEMA'S FAVORITE FILMS OF 2022

“Movies are like dreams that you’ll never forget.”

As the art of films and filmmaking continue to explore new ways to captivate audiences, it remains easier then ever to have access to see work from around the world. 2022 offered another year of some great work. The year very much seemed to be one filled with nostalgia be it a longing for reviving the past or perhaps just reflecting upon it. Some of the best current filmmakers like James Gray and Richard Linklater made films of their own youth; and in one of the highlight films of the year, the master filmmaker Steven Spielberg displayed his wisdom with a brilliant film that might not have been as good if he made it earlier in his career.

As of December 31st, I saw 77 new films in 2022 which is on pace with past few years but much lower then what I would see pre-2020. Because I'm more selective in my choices of what I see most of these are films that I like in some way. All but the probably the bottom five are films I would recommend and did enjoy in some way or another. Please don't get too caught up in the ranking. I'll try to eventually add brief writeups but for now I've included direct links to the imdb page for more information.
